IHRI Terms and Conditions

Last modified: October 1, 2024

ALL PROGRAM FEES ARE NET OF ALL APPLICABLE TAXES.

All fees indicated in the program brochure, website, or registration form are inclusive of all applicable taxes. Payment is required in full and must be received prior to the commencement of the program to confirm your participation. We accept various payment methods, including bank transfers, credit cards, and online payment platforms, depending on the country of registration. Please ensure that any bank charges or transaction fees are borne by the registrant, as these will not be covered by the International HR Institute (IHRI).

For self-paced programs, learners will gain access to the program upon confirmation of payment. For live programs (virtual or otherwise), a seat will be reserved only once full payment is received.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RESERVATION OF SEAT OR ACCESS

  • For live programs (virtual or otherwise), your seat will only be reserved and confirmed upon receipt of the full payment of the prescribed fees. Once payment is received, you will receive an official confirmation via email, which will serve as proof of registration. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and IHRI reserves the right to close registration once full capacity is reached.
  • For self-paced programs, learners will be granted access to the program once the payment has been confirmed. Learners can access the program content at their convenience.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
IHRI understands that unforeseen circumstances may require you to cancel your registration. Refund requests will be honored based on the type of program and the timing of the cancellation:

  • For live programs (virtual or otherwise), cancellations and refunds will be honored based on the following schedule:
    • Cancellation 20 days or more before the start of the program: You are eligible for a full refund, minus any applicable administrative fees.
    • Cancellation 15 to 19 days before the start of the program: You are eligible for a 75% refund, with 25% of the fee retained to cover administrative costs.
    • Cancellation 10 to 14 days before the start of the program: You are eligible for a 50% refund, with 50% of the fee retained to cover preparatory and logistical costs.
    • Cancellation less than 10 days before the start of the program: No refund will be provided.
  • For self-paced programs, learners may be eligible for a full refund (less a P500 service fee) if:
    • Written notice of cancellation is received within 48 hours from the time of payment.
    • The learner has completed less than 10% of the program.
    • Refund requests submitted after this deadline or after completing more than 10% of the program will not be eligible for a refund.

No-shows for live programs without prior notification will not be eligible for refunds or transfers to another batch.

IHRI-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS, POSTPONEMENTS, OR CHANGES
IHRI reserves the right to modify the content, format, facilitators, or schedule of the program if necessary, to ensure the highest quality of learning or due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as government regulations, natural disasters, health emergencies, or other events categorized as force majeure.

  • For live programs, should IHRI cancel or postpone a program, participants will have the option to:
    • Transfer their registration to the next available batch or to another program of equal value, subject to seat availability.
    • Request a full refund of the paid program fees (exclusive of any other costs, such as travel or accommodation).
  • IHRI is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, such as non-refundable travel expenses, accommodation, or loss of earnings due to program cancellation or postponement.

SUBSTITUTIONS AND TRANSFERS

  • For live programs (virtual or otherwise), participants may nominate a substitute or request a batch transfer at no additional cost up to seven (7) days before the program start date. The substitute must meet any prerequisite requirements, and the substitution is subject to IHRI’s approval.
  • Transfers requested within less than seven (7) days before the program start date will incur an administrative fee of 10% of the program fee. Transfers are subject to the availability of seats in future batches and are only valid within one (1) year from the original program date.
  • For self-paced programs, no substitutions or transfers are permitted once access to the course materials has been granted.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATION
To qualify for the program certificate, participants must fulfill all the necessary requirements, including but not limited to full attendance, active participation in discussions, and completion of any required assessments or assignments. IHRI reserves the right to withhold certification if participants do not meet these criteria. Detailed certification requirements will be communicated prior to the start of the program.

CODE OF CONDUCT
IHRI is committed to providing a safe and professional learning environment. All participants are expected to engage in the program in a respectful and collaborative manner, refraining from any form of disruptive behavior, harassment, or discrimination. IHRI reserves the right to remove any participant from the program if their behavior is deemed inappropriate or detrimental to the learning experience of others. No refunds will be provided in such cases.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All course materials, content, and intellectual property provided during the program are owned by IHRI or the facilitator and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Participants may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or share these materials outside of the program without prior written consent from IHRI.

WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
All services provided by IHRI, including training programs, are delivered AS-IS, without any express or implied warranties of any kind, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, workmanship, or non-infringement. IHRI disclaims any liability for damages arising from the use of program content or reliance on program information.

INDEMNIFICATION
By participating in any IHRI program, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IHRI and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, contractors, and other representatives from any and all claims, actions, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your participation in the program.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY
You acknowledge and agree that IHRI and its representatives shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from your participation in the program, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, even if IHRI has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This waiver of liability applies to all claims, regardless of whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis.

LEGAL FEES AND EXPENSES
Should IHRI require legal representation to defend any claims brought against it or to enforce its rights under these terms and conditions, you agree to reimburse IHRI for all reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs, and related legal expenses incurred.

SEVERABILITY AND NON-WAIVER
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The failure of IHRI to enforce any provision of these terms at any time does not waive its right to enforce the same or other provisions in the future.
